Substitute vegan Skyr and quark

🍦💡 Vegan Quick-Tips for Quark/Skyr/Greek Yogurt Substitutes:

1. For direct purchase (not an advertisement):
- Alnatura Soy Quark
- Alpro Soy Skyr (fortified with calcium)

2. To make yourself with (soy) yogurt:
Store brands (Rewe/Edeka/Penny - preferably sugar-free) are perfectly sufficient (approx. €0.90-1.20/500g)
and then:

2a) Drain overnight using a so-called cheesecloth/nut milk bag (available cheaply online, sometimes in health food stores). Secure the cloth with a rubber band to a tall container, pour in the yogurt, and let it drain.
- after 8h/ 👉 firm, ball-shaped lump, very protein-dense
- after 24h 👉 very dry Greek yogurt/sometimes like crumbly feta. With chives and salt, it's also a great spread.

Please note: This ONLY works with soy yogurt (not almond/coconut/oat) due to its protein density.

2b) If you're in a hurry/don't have a cheesecloth or are using another plant-based yogurt: mix the plant-based yogurt (200g) with approx. 30g of plant-based protein powder (add a splash of water/plant milk depending on desired creaminess).
