NVSINO
About us and the team 👨👩👧👦
RAFFAELA
Raffaela was working as a doctor when she realised that the enslaved „farm" animals are sentient, just like her patients. That realisation made her vegan at the end of 2020, and she became active for animal rights immediately. After a few months of street activism she decided to share her emotional encounters as TikTok videos, and reached millions. As Die Militante Veganerin Raffaela and her team have taken radical animal rights activism in the German-speaking world to a new level.
TOBI
Tobi came to street activism through Raffaela linking Anonymous for the Voiceless, an international animal rights organisation. Within weeks he had opened a new local group. He quickly understood that street activism alone is not enough without a media presence, and in 2023 he started publishing videos on various social platforms as Der Veganist. As a strength athlete he also shows that you can be strong as a vegan.
Team
Michi
Creative Cutter
Michi supports us with video editing: overlays, subtitles and effects. He is glad to give veganism a creative voice. Many of the things he learns here also feed into his own vegan comedy series from the Allgäu.
Michi's favourite projects so far:
Every video is its own piece of art, I really cannot pick one! 😀
"We are all guests on this planet, and you should treat everyone — human or animal — so that you would happily swap places with them in the next life!"
Julian
Creative Cutter
Julian: "Once the two subtle activists have sprayed their rhetorical wit around, I come in and give it a final polish. Playful graphics or tragic animal fates — I want veganism to be not just heard but felt, and in the edit I am right at the source."
Julian is especially proud of these videos: Vegan doctor vs. medical student 🥼, Star sign Leo 🦁 & Vegan makes you ill?!
"In the end it is simple: violence is just not my style. Is it yours?"
Dirk
Social Media & Organiser NVSINO Berlin
Dirk (@dirk_the_vegan) works with us as an editor and content manager for social media, organises street activism in Berlin and drives the expansion of NVSINO across Germany.
Before that Dirk helped build AV Germany and was active there for ten years.
At NVSINO he now wants to show people the HOW of going vegan, and support them through it.
He is especially proud of these videos: Child educates grandma & Child turns an angry woman vegan ✨
Alwina
Content Manager
As you can see in the picture, Alwina is an animal rights activist with Anonymous for the Voiceless.
She supports NVSINO as a content manager, helps shape the website and answers your messages. Right now she is working on a vegan FAQ.
"The problem is not how animals are enslaved, but THAT they are. We do not need reform, we need a revolution!"
Aditya
Cutter
Aditya, aka Soytheist on Instagram and YouTube, creates compelling content for our English activism channels and @DieMildeVeganerin.
He is especially proud of the videos Should Inuits Be Vegan? and Steroid Allegation.
"Animal Rights are the most important moral issue of our time, because of the sheer scale of the atrocity taking place. It is crucial that we tackle it unapologetically."
George
Cutter
George, aka CarnismDebunked on Instagram and YouTube, also supports Raffaela's and Tobi's English-language activism channels as an editor.
George is proudest of this and this video.
"I've been vegan since 2013 and constantly raising my voice for animals ever since! It's great to be part of a team here making such a difference."
What NVSINO stands for
NOT BEING VEGAN IS NOT OK.
Our bold name is not only there to get attention, it is there to educate. It triggers an immediate emotional reaction, and that is what makes people look into the subject and question their own behaviour.
And we designed our abstract logo around that clear message:
NVSINO
Who we are
We make viral content that entertains the mainstream, shakes it awake and pushes veganism towards becoming the new normal ⚖️ With NVSINO we offer uncompromising, stylish clothing and accessories, plus material for outreach, for brave vegans.
Alongside our merch we provide free resources here on the site for an easy, healthy vegan life.
What drives us — our vision
Together with you we want to grow NVSINO into a movement that not only covers you head to toe (and beyond!) in radical merch, but also opens a new era for animal rights. Fifty years ago being vegetarian made you the odd one out. Today veganism is on its way to becoming respectable.
We get there if we all go public with one simple sentence: abusing animals is not ok — and that makes Not Being Vegan Not OK! ✊🏼
… and you, of course!
Behind the voices on the internet are real people who change their behaviour because of us, and who are glad to see us 💚

How did NVSINO come about? Our story
Raffaela and Tobi met through activism in 2023, and it was clear early on that their shared drive would produce new projects. With Tobi's experience as a team lead and building his own brand Gym Zombies, and Raffaela's experience in marketing and product design through her invention KOALAA, creating a brand for their biggest life project was the obvious next step: NVSINO is here to offer radical, stylish clothing for brave vegans.
Why vegan statement clothing?
Animal rights clothing does not dare enough. We do not want grinning avocados, dancing tofu or mild slogans like "Friends not Food". We want bold, striking statements that provoke, stick in the memory and open a conversation. Preferably on shirts, caps, totes, bags and anything else we use to stand against animal slavery day to day.
Wearing clothing with a radical vegan message is a simple and effective way to get the discussion going around you: radical, unmistakably for the animals.
So what are you waiting for? Here is the shop!
Are there not other NVSINO makers?
Correct. Raffaela coined the phrase „Nicht Vegan Sein Ist Nicht OK" three years ago and made it known. Back then she sponsored an Austrian animal rights association with a high four-figure sum for the first merch run. Because of personal differences, a lack of ambition to scale and unreliable customer support on the association's side, Raffaela and Tobi have now decided to open a store run their way, with more efficient logistics and a registered trademark.
