What the video archive is
The video archive contains videos by Tobias Neuschulte (@derveganist) and Raffaela Raab (@diemilitanteveganerin). You can search them by words in the transcripts, by topic and by person. The videos themselves are hosted on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Rumble. We show them through an embed that only loads after you click.
Loading the archive
When you open the page, your browser loads the video list, the transcripts and the preview images from archiv.nvsino.com. This address is operated for us by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Cloudflare Pages). Your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare, because otherwise no connection is possible. Cloudflare also receives the usual technical details of a page request, such as time, requested file and browser identifier, and may store them in server logs. We do not set cookies for this.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the archive quickly and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; transfers to the USA are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for it (Art. 45 GDPR). More information in Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Playing a video
As long as you do not click "Play", there is no connection to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Rumble. You only see a preview image that comes from archiv.nvsino.com together with the other archive data. Only when you click does your browser load the player of the platform. From then on, the platform receives, among other things, your IP address, details about your browser and device, the page you are on and, if you are logged in there, the link to your account. The platform may use cookies or similar technologies on your device. The platform alone decides what it uses this data for; we have no influence on that.
Clicking "Play" is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). The button states which platform the data goes to. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by not playing any further videos and deleting the platforms' cookies in your browser.

Saved list
Videos you save are stored only in your browser (local storage). They are not transmitted to us or to third parties. You can delete them by clearing the site data for nvsino.com in your browser. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, because the storage is only needed for the saved list that you use yourself.
Your rights
Within the scope of the law, you have the right to access the data stored about you, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
To do so, contact datenschutz@vegan-empire.com. We will reply within one month; in complex cases this period may be extended by up to two further months, in which case we will inform you.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
